One of the challenges going on at Splitcoast right is one called 'Operation: Quiet Comfort'. It's to send cards to wounded soldiers and medical staff. Create some cards (Patriotic, Get Well, Thinking of you, Thank you) to send...add a personal note inside, have your family and friends sign it if you like. All the information and an address where to send your card/s can be found
HERE.
We created this beautiful card at one of Liz's classes. I will be creating more of these in different colors to send to some of the soldiers and medical staff. If you don't have time to make any but you have cards that you have already made that would be appropriate, this would be a great place to send some of them!
The card base is 4 1/4" x 11" of Kiwi Kiss, folded in half. The Whisper White piece was 4" x 5 1/4" and then the top was scalloped with the Scallop Edge punch and the outer edges were sponged with Kiwi Kiss. The Pocket Silhouette stamp set was stamped on the white using Kiwi Kiss and then the sentiment added with Basic Black. The envelope was made with The Big shot and the Scallop Envelope die cut and adhered to the card. The little card inside was made with a 2" x 3" piece of Kiwi Kiss and a 1 7/8" x 2 7/8" piece of Whisper White adhered to it which has the Pocket Silhouette stamped in Kiwi Kiss and also a Define Your Life stamp in Basic Black. Double sided Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla satin ribbon was added around the Whisper White piece before adhering it all to the card front. Thanks for looking!
I wondered what to do with those mini envelopes! What a beautiful card - well designed and the color is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the card and the information!
