I just love candles but we have cats...and dogs...and little kids...so all my candles sit in the back of a closet. The great thing is that someone decided to create battery operated candles!! Hurray!! I found some at my local Sobey's store and they work great! With these even if someone happens to knock it over you don't have to worry about the house burning down.
Liz had designed a beautiful Inspired by Nature votive cover (I must say that is my current favorite Stampin' Up! stamp set...for the moment...), so I tried my hand at making one today. It didn't turn out quite as well as hers did but that's ok :-)
I had ordered the Halloween wheel last week with making one of these in mind...so tried it out today...kind of cute :-) I used Vellum cardstock and the measurements for the larger 'Inspired by Nature' one are 6" x 9 1/2" and the measurements for the smaller Halloween one are 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". I sponged with Pumpkin Pie and then stamped (and wheeled) with Black Stazon. Pretty simple but pretty cool! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day of stamping! It's pretty simple but if you need a visual of how to do it, check out the quick video below.
Karen, this is a great idea! I love it and I'm going to go do it right now! Plus, the phone book idea? You're truly a genius!! These videos are really fun, you're doing great!
