My husband and I just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary a few days ago. We met later in life and were actually living in different Provinces at the time but the power of the Internet brought us together through an 'on-line' dating service (we also know five other couples that met and married using the same service). At the time, the service had a Christian component to it and we had to answer 100 very in-depth questions which was great as you really got to see where someone's heart was at! I don't know what it's like now as that was quite a few years ago but it was Matchmaker.com for any of you interested. The internet changes peoples lives for the good and the bad...for us it was very very good.
When making this I was in a hurry (as usual) and made it for him the morning of (as usual) and quickly threw it together for him. I made the card larger normal and made it a bit of a flip card. I also used the fast and simple way of making a mirror image or reflection technique as I have tried many ways of doing it (using vellum, etc) and this is the fastest if you want a true reflection. My husband actually liked the card but was quick to point out that I used two males on the card...yes, I was in too much of a hurry to remove the antlers and figured he wouldn't really look at the card, therefore not notice :-)
The card uses Very Vanilla (or Shimmery White which I made the original one from by accident) which measures 7" x 11" and is scored at 3" and 6". The pattern paper is cut at 4 7/8" x 7" and the words are embossed on it with white embossing powder. It's pretty simple but check out the video for the particulars if you like.
Great tutorial. I loved it. Very easy to follow. Thank you!
